Local Compliance officer
Coordinating and maintaining an effective compliance management system. It is within reach with this full-time job as local compliance officer in Almere, Netherlands (Hybrid). We are Compliance within Athlon. Getting you there.
Your road to success
Left or right, you will support and coordinate the implementation and maintenance of an effective compliance management system for all relevant areas in accordance with corporate requirements and local laws and regulations for our cluster ‘BeNeLux’, with special focus on the entities in the Netherlands (Athlon Car Lease Nederland B.V. and Autolease). The relevant compliance areas are: Data Compliance, anti-corruption, Checks against Sanctions Lists Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Social Compliance. Furthermore you will participate in local and Athlon group wide projects. You will support with the promotion and strengthening of an integrity culture and mindset based on the integrity code. You can do this as a local compliance officer with full focus on:
- supporting of the local management in assuming and executing its responsibility to implement and maintain an effective Compliance program at the Belgium and Luxembourg entities.
- monitoring and report on effectiveness of the compliance management system and advice on risk-mitigating measures, if applicable.
- creating awareness and provide communications, guidance and local consultation regarding compliance and integrity obligations.
- conducting risk-oriented trainings and ensure documentation accordingly.
- ensuring adequate implementation of regulatory compliance requirements that are applicable to the Belgium and Luxembourg entities.
- compliance risk assessments, performance monitoring and reporting
- ensuring compliance and integrity awareness at the unit level

You will be part of the Athlon Compliance Team. This team has a dedicated Local Compliance Officer in every Athlon market. You will support and advise your local management and your local business with regard to compliance related policies and regulations.

What do you take with you as Local Compliance Officer for at least 38 of hours per week? Absolutely your strong communications skills, pragmatic approach and also your intercultural understanding. You also have the drive to be that expert and support the local management team. In addition, you have:
- a bachelor degree in Law/Legal/Risk/Audit or other relevant study.
- preferably 4-6 years of business experience, sufficient stature within the organization to exert influence and credibility.
- appropriate knowledge of applicable international and local laws (data protection, AML/CFT, anti-corruption). Adequate qualification or practical knowledge regarding AML and data protection and is a big plus.
- a professional proficiency in English (in word and writing), French and Dutch are a big plus.
- high analytical skills, a results-oriented mindset and a quick and strong learning ability.
- affinity and strong interest in integrity topics.

In addition to building an (international) career, as a local compliance officer, based on 38 hours per week, you can count on a:
- gross yearly salary up to € 70.110,- (including holiday allowance and 13th month).
- employee budget of € 555,- gross per month. This is used, for example, mobility Policy, commuting km’s expenses, extra leave hours or monthly payment.
- excellent pension scheme.
- potential bonus up to 10% of your annual salary including holiday allowance and 13th month (the bonus is 100% based on Mercedes-Benz company results).
