As a Junior IT Risk & Security (R&S) Consultant, you will join our IT Risk & Security team and play a crucial role as the go-to capability for IT Risk & Security advice. Your main focus will be the IT Risk Management area.
You will be working closely with six direct colleagues in the team. Our team culture is driven by both hard work and fun. We believe in continuously improving and growing together. As a Junior IT risk consultant you will have the opportunity to support our internal clients with managing our key IT risks. We will invest in expanding your knowledge and expertise in IT risk management, having you take a proactive approach in your development.
The job
As a Junior IT risk consultant you play a key role in our organization and team. Your main activities will be in the following areas:
Assist in managing internal and external audits within the IT department
Maintain the IT Risk & Control Framework
Assist stakeholders throughout the IT organization with control testing
Contribute to management reporting on IT Risk & Security
Support the team by managing incoming requests.
Your team
You will be joining the Risk & Security (R&S) team which is part of the engaging Identity, Risk & Security, Quality management (IRSQ) team. Your day-to-day work takes place within R&S together with your six colleagues – 3 IT risk officers, 3 security officers and you, our new IT Risk officer. As a team we aim to be the security conscious of NIBC. Sounds super serious? It is – but we do so together in an informal and open manner. We all have our own responsibilities and at the same time, know where to find each other for help and advice when needed.
The team is part of the staff of the CTO domain (Information Technology, Data Management and Operations) and directly reports to our Chief Technology Officer.

What do you bring?
A Bachelor or Master’s Degree (preferably Crisis & Security Management/Business Administration/Business IT & Management) or equivalent experience;
Consultancy skills (advising, coaching, presenting);
Strong analytical skills;
Affinity with information security/ICT risk frameworks and regulations such as: ISO27001/2, EBA guidelines on ICT and security risk management, Digital Operational Resillience Act ;
You are ambitious and eager to learn with a proactive mindset
