Job Description
- Implement a customer notification and malware remediation framework.
- Reduce vulnerable services and open ports of deployed Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) and customer connections.
- Ensure a consistent Customer Internet Security Abuse Management process is implemented.
- Utilize advanced analytical techniques to identify patterns, trends, and emerging threats related to customer abuse.
- Provide central reporting on Customer Malware Infections and Vulnerable Services.
- Act as the central authority for all queries related to abuse matters within the Group and its various markets.
- Oversee and own the abuse software applications across the Group and its affiliated markets.
- Participate in working groups with external bodies like M3AAWG, APWG to assure Group representation and implement industry Best Current Practices.
- 10+ years of experience in an Abuse-related ISP environment.
- Practical understanding of cyber threats collection and analytics.
- Ability to provide expert advice on complex decisions impacting other LG teams and in-country security teams.
- Self-learning attitude to facilitate team- and company-wide learning.
- Experience in working with a wide range of partners to improve Customer Internet Security.
- Extensive knowledge or proven experience in at least 4 of the following areas: Abuse handling, TCP/IP and main services used by applications, DOS attacks and mitigation techniques, Spam filtering, DMARC, SPF, DKIM, Virus and OS (Unix), Working in an ISP environment.
- Understanding of Denial-of-Service, reflection, amplification factors, and misuse of vulnerable services.
- Fluent in English (speaking/writing) with good interpersonal skills.
- Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for improving network security.
- Ensure clear, customer-friendly, and measurable notifications are delivered.
- Work on Best Practice improvement programs and implement industry Best Current Practices into the Group footprint.
- Demonstrate in-depth understanding of concepts and principles of Internet Security, bots, malware, spam, viruses, DoS attacks, and other online exploitation.
